One of my favorite finds in French Polynesia was the little vanilla plantation near the house we rented in Moorea. I brought plenty of beans home with me and have enjoyed finding ways to savor them by creating vanilla-flavored…everything (we even made homemade Tahitian vanilla extract as wedding favors for our family reception stateside – more on that later!).
Most recently, Alisa Lewis transformed these little beans into delicious vanilla sugar, which tastes truly magnificent in my morning cup of tea.
