These two sweethearts! I meet a lot of people as a Spokane photographer, and especially as one who specializes in weddings, I meet a lot of people in love.  It’s one of the best parts of my job, soaking in all of that goodness and glow.  Bethany and Curtis are definitely one of those couples whose love is palpable, and let me tell you, I soaked it all in during this session!

I asked Bethany to share a little bit about her relationship with Curtis, and here is what she had to say:

Curtis and I first met last October, casually meeting for drinks after being encouraged to go out by a mutual friend. It was love at first sight, and we talked until the pub closed for the night. Since that day, falling in love has been effortless and natural. We have been best friends from then on. We share a mutual love of the outdoors, and take every opportunity to travel and find new places to explore. We also share a passion for dining, and trying new restaurants is a favorite hobby.
The relationship we have thrives on our mutual respect and desire to encourage and uplift each other daily.  Curtis inspires me constantly. He’s driven, dedicated, honest and kind. He always surprises me and continually makes me laugh. We haven’t had a day go by that we have failed to express our thankfulness for the love we are so fortunate to share. I love when he sings loudly in the car with me, and he loves when I dance with him in the kitchen. We embrace the little moments just as much as the big, and can’t wait to spend each day building a life together.

A very special thank you to Megan White, of Beauty by Megz, who I love working with!  She did a beautiful job with Bethany’s hair and makeup, and is a beautiful person in general, both inside and out.

Oh, this precious wedding, I loved everything about it!  Trezzi Farm Winery is one of my all-time favorite venues, so I was thrilled when Casey and Tiara chose it for their wedding day.  It’s always a treat to be able to photograph such a happy occasion at such a beautiful location! Soft evening sunshine in vineyards gets me every time, and that Greenbluff goodness is good for the soul.

Everything turned out perfectly for the lovely couple, and it really couldn’t have been a more beautiful day.  You know it’s a good wedding when the wedding photographer finds herself a little weepy, and I must have cried happy tears at least five times throughout the day!  There was just something special about this bride and groom and their group of friends and family that was so touching to me. I think the best part of the day, apart from getting to know the bridal party and family a bit was the special “song” Casey’s brother composed for Casey and Tiara.  It was a full on rap that had everyone screaming with laughter and out on the floor dancing!

So many congratulations to the happy couple as they start their new life together as husband and wife.  What a special start they’ve had to a lifetime of happiness together, and I’m so pleased these wedding photos can help play a small part.

I have to pinch myself sometimes when I’m capturing wedding photos at Bozarth Mansion, because it’s hard to believe that one single venue could offer so much goodness in one single package, it’s a photographer’s dream come true! A fairytale setting, gorgeous light, and charm for days? I’m in love.  This wedding was another that took advantage of all these qualities and more, to create a beautiful day of celebration.

Anna and Jason’s wedding holds a special place in my heart, because the beaming bride is my sister, and we planned this day together. It was so fun for me to put my years as a wedding photographer in Spokane to a different kind of use and brainstorm ideas for making Anna and Jason’s wedding dreams come true.  They had originally wanted to plan an international elopement, and since Bozarth Mansion no longer allows wedding ceremonies on site, we felt it would be the perfect compromise between making private vows and hosting a fun celebration for the lovely couple.  They were able to sneak away for a small, private ceremony in the park before returning to Bozarth in the evening to celebrate their union with friends and family galore, and I’m thrilled to have had the chance to capture the festive intimacy they were able to achieve!

Thanks so much to Anna and Jason’s amazing wedding team, who, as always, took special care to make this wedding day one for the books.  It’s not often that I get to interact with vendors on the client side of the equation, and I will be forever grateful for their hard work in making my sister’s special day amazing!

Oh, this happy couple!  I have loved photographing their anniversary sessions throughout the years, it’s been one of my favorite traditions as a photographer.  These two have all the chemistry, and I love the idea of that they will be able to look back on our series of photographs and see not only how they have matured over time, but how their love has deepened year by year.  Rose is a fellow photographer and one of my closest friends, and I am infinitely grateful for the friendship we have grown in Spokane.  Here’s to many more years of happiness to Rose and Pete, and many more years of continued documentation!
