I had the pleasure of spending a beautiful week in California last month while attending the Artist Holiday workshop at Sunstone Villa and Winery. It was so refreshing to be among so many great artists and industry titans, and I relished watching their creative processes as they designed amazing inspirational sessions that photographed like a dream.
Having transitioned into the role of Portland wedding photographer, I enjoyed basking in the glow of the famed California sunlight so much (something I yearn for, living in the Pacific Northwest!) and producing sun-soaked images without even a hint of clouds or rain! I featured those sun-filled images in another blog post, which you can see by clicking here, I’m thrilled to be sharing a peek at some of the portraits I captured indoors during my time at the villa.
Sunstone Villa has such a unique quality, and it was a magical venue in which to work. The history behind it is incredible! It’s founders constructed the villa from artifacts and materials recovered from a small village in France and imported to the US, so when you step inside, it almost feels as though you’ve been transported back in time or to another continent. It made me so nostalgic for the years I lived abroad in Europe!
A huge thank you to the team of talented wedding professionals who worked so hard to make our time at The Artist Holiday so phenomenal!
