I love anniversary sessions and am a big believer in documenting your love as a couple throughout the years, so I was thrilled when my friend, Lisa, asked me to photographer hers with her husband, Justin, at the end of September. Not only is Lisa a beautiful person through and through, she is also a fellow Coeur d’Alene wedding photographer, the talent behind Lisa Wise Photography, so I was extra honored to have the privilege of capturing this moment in time for her and Justin.
I think most photographers will agree with me when I admit that it can be intimidating to have one of your peers in front of your camera! No matter how close our friendship, I always feel just a tad nervous anytime I’m asked to photograph someone whose work I admire so much…and Lisa was no exception. I think most photographers will also agree with me that, luckily, it’s also strangely more comfortable at the same time. What a mystery!
Justin and Lisa will be celebrating their 10 year anniversary this year, and the love between them is still shining brightly after all this time. They’ve held onto that spark and chemistry, which was fun (and inspiring) for me to see. If I didn’t know better, I would have thought I was photographing their engagement session!
Thanks so much, you two lovebirds, for such a sweet and beautiful session. It meant so much to me to be able to capture these images and to imagine your children and grandchildren enjoying them for years to come.
Thanks so much to Erica’s Expressions for the BEAUTIFUL bouquet that was the perfect compliment to this pretty, fall session.
