I’m so flattered to have been asked to capture Larry and Pam Terpstra’s yearly anniversary photos, and I had so much fun laughing with them and getting to know them better during the two afternoons we spent together in early October. Even after 37 years together, these two still have that “spark!” The love and passion between them is so wonderful to be around, and the quote Pam sent me describing their marriage sums it up perfectly: “Time’s promises were kept, our love never left.”
The Terpstras own the amazing wedding venue, Belle Victorian Gardens, and Pam is the extremely talented stylist behind Romancing the Stone Styling. Here is a look at our first afternoon together, a gorgeous session on the lake styled by Pam herself!
Sigh. These two….
Here is a quick look at our second afternoon together as well!
This anniversary session I photographed yesterday practically has me speechless. A canoe, wine, flowers, a plaid blanket perfect for snuggling, and 37 years of love – what could be more romantic??
Sneak peek of part one of Pam and Larry’s 37th anniversary photos!
Meet Nick and Katie, one of my 2014 summer wedding couples! I am seriously smitten by them both, because clearly, they are the definition of amazing. Their engagement session at the Attic had me swooning from beginning to end – I just love how effortlessly they work together in front of the camera, and how unmistakably their union is conveyed in these images. This session at the Attic was full-on romance!
We did it! Ron and I are married! We successfully pulled off a secret international elopement in Moorea, French Polynesia, and it was hands-down the most the most wildly-romantic, sweetest, and magical day of all time, ever.
I’m working on a full, future post about it, so I don’t want to spoil it by saying too much right now, but I will say that the day involved a pretty hilarious legal ceremony with the mayor of Moorea, a sweet personal vow exchange on a small, private island at sunset, and hundreds and hundreds of beautiful little flowers – some even made it into my hair!
(The previous photos are a collaboration between Ron’s family members – and now mine – Karl and Renee Puou, and me. Captured by them, edited by yours truly)
And then for the honeymoon! I didn’t use my camera as much as I should have, because I was paranoid about sand and water destruction, but I did manage to snap a few shots of our beautiful island. Crystal clear, bright aqua, WARM ocean water was definitely the highlight of the island, and we spent 12 out of 14 days in the water and on the beach.
More to come! Much, MUCH more.
